D. Design Credit Terms
Plain-English summary: How the shared credit wallet is funded, how credits are used for Manufacturing Packs, and when credits expire or are reversed.
1. Credits and the shared wallet
A Design Credit is a contractual Platform entitlement. It is not cash, electronic money, a bank deposit or Shopify Store Credit and has no cash redemption value. Eligible credits are held in one wallet linked to your Benchdogs customer account and may be usable across supported Designers, subject to any clearly disclosed campaign or Designer restriction.
2. Obtaining credits
Credits may be purchased through the mapped Design Credit product and variant in the existing Benchdogs Shopify checkout, or awarded through an approved beta, historical, promotional, goodwill, subscription or reseller-purchase programme. Your order or award record identifies the quantity, source, scope and any disclosed expiry. Purchased, historical and goodwill credits have no expiry by default. A campaign credit expires only where the expiry was clearly stated before the award. Future subscription credits may have separate rollover or expiry rules, but no subscription offer or rule applies unless launched under active terms.
3. Prices and Designer costs
The current monetary price for a credit and the number of credits needed for a Designer output are shown before purchase or redemption. The system records the cost at redemption. We may change future prices or Designer costs, but we do not retrospectively reprice a completed entitlement or remove a valid same-revision re-download.
4. Redemption and entitlement
When you confirm a redemption, the displayed number of credits is deducted exactly once and an entitlement is created for the identified immutable manufacturing revision. You may download or regenerate that same entitled revision without another credit, subject to normal availability and retention. A design change that changes the manufacturing identity normally creates a new revision and needs a separate redemption.
If generation fails before a usable entitlement is completed, the service should retry without another charge or restore the affected credit. Contact support if the ledger and entitlement do not agree. We will correct a proven Platform accounting error.
5. Refunds, reversals and misuse
Purchased-credit refunds follow applicable consumer law and the store terms. Where credits associated with a refunded, reversed or charged-back order have not been used, they may be removed. If they have been used, we will review the related entitlement fairly rather than automatically creating a negative balance. Duplicate, fraudulent or mistakenly awarded campaign credits may be reversed with an auditable explanation. This does not affect a statutory remedy for faulty digital content or service.
6. Account closure and rights
Closing an account does not convert credits to cash. We will deal with unused purchased credits and existing entitlements according to the contract, circumstances and applicable law. Promotional eligibility does not create a continuing entitlement to future campaigns. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
